• Five Vie for Washington-3’s Two House seats | montpelierbridge.org CCV alumn Michael Deering II is running for a seat in the House of Representatives in Barre’s Washington-3.
• Students Break New Ground With Cross-Campus Excavation Project | caledonianrecord.com Students from CCV were a part of a Hidden History at Castleton project with other students from NVU and Castleton. The project incorporated 3D technology, virtual reality modeling, and a hands-on archaeology dig.
• Area Students Named to Spring 2022 Student Honors/Deans Lists at CCV | caledonianrecord.com Northern Vermont students were named to the CCV student honors list and dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester.
• American Association of University Women awards five college scholarships | reformer.com CCV student Julie Cermola received a scholarship from the Brattleboro branch of the American Association of University Women. Cermola is studying business and accounting.
• UVM and Vermont State College System are offering free courses for Vermonters | miltonindependent.com CCV is offering free training opportunities for Vermonters whose employment has been impacted by COVID-19. The funding covers two tuition-free courses and wrap-around services.
• Audet earns win at Devil’s Bowl | rutlandherald.com CCV was the headline sponsor of an event at Devil’s Bowl on July 23.
• Rotary Club awards $16,500 in scholarships to six local students | reformer.com Recent high school graduate Nicholas Petronic received a scholarship from the Brattleboro Rotary Club, funded by The Gateway Foundation. The scholarship will be used to attend CCV this fall.
• BMH and CCV celebrate new graduates of medical assistant program | reformer.com Four students graduated from the BMH/CCV College to Career Medical Assisting program.
• Adam Ezra Group Headlines Final Fridays July 29 | caledonianrecord.com CCV-St. Johnsbury participated in the town’s Final Friday event on July 29. Multiple businesses and organizations were represented, offering a number of activities.
• RH Community news | rutlandherald.com CCV student Crystal Hartman received a $2,000 scholarship from the Rutland Area Medical Community to continue pursuing a career in healthcare.
• Expanding Access to Transfer Pathways | insidehighered.com New guaranteed transfer pathways are being developed by the New England Board of Higher Education as a part of the New England Transfer Guarantee. CCV graduates will be able to transfer directly to participating colleges and universities in Vermont.
