MONTPELIER, Vt. — The Community College of Vermont (CCV) is proud to announce that Mary Brodsky will join its senior leadership team as the College’s first Executive Director of Human Resources, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
“We’re pleased to welcome Mary to the CCV community,” said CCV President Joyce Judy. “Her expertise in both human resources and with DEI initiatives is impressive. I look forward to working alongside her as we continue to promote a culture that not only embraces the ideals of equity and justice, but takes concrete steps to put those ideals into practice.”
Brodsky currently serves as Associate Chief Human Resource Officer at the University of Vermont. Prior to UVM, she was Acting Director for U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Employee Relations Division. She also held positions within the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service, working in Congressional and Public Affairs, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Labor and Employee Relations. She was appointed by Governors Douglas and Shumlin to serve as a member of the Vermont Human Rights Commission, a post she held for nine years.
“Having grown up in the Northeast Kingdom, I am deeply committed to Vermont and supporting local communities,” Brodsky said. “I’m thrilled to join CCV and to help create a culture of belonging for students, faculty and staff from all cultures and backgrounds.”
Brodsky will step into her new role at CCV beginning October 4th.
