Asa Metcalfe ’17, Liberal Studies
University of Montana ’22 (anticipated), Journalism
Asa manages a concert venue called The Badlander that books bands touring nationally (pre-COVID) where he also worked stage crew for Pearl Jam and Chris Stapleton. He also published an interview for American Vulgaria Magazine, and is working to publish more while working on a degree in journalism from the University of Montana.
Heather Bertrand ’18, Human Services
Northern Vermont University – Lyndon ’20, Applied Psychology and Human Services
Heather is currently enrolled at Plymouth State University’s graduate program and is on track to receive her M.Ed. in school counseling in 2022.
Emily Bryant ’18, Criminal Justice
Northeastern University ‘20, Criminal Justice and Political Science
Emily is an investigator at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Office of the Inspector General.
Laura McCutcheon ‘18, Media Studies
Castleton University ‘20, Graphic Design
Laura was accepted into North Carolina State’s graduate program for graphic design, which she started in fall 2021.
Sierra Maxwell ’18, Liberal Studies
Castleton University ’21, Multidisciplinary Studies and K-6 Licensure
Sierra is completing her bachelor’s degree and will be student teaching in the fall.
Cathleen Francis ’18, Human Services
Southern New Hampshire University ’22 (anticipated), Psychology
Cathleen is working on her degree in psychology at Southern New Hampshire University with an anticipated graduation in 2022.
Dan Smith ’19, Liberal Studies
Northern Vermont University ’21, Psychology
Dan has applied to graduate school with plans to start his master of arts in clinical mental health counseling this fall. His senior internship working with a network of recovery homes has gone so well that he was offered a paid position. Dan feels he couldn’t have gotten this new lease on his education if CCV hadn’t given him a chance.
Chris Snelling ’19, Computer Systems Management
Since graduating from CCV, Chris purchased his first home in Essex Junction and was hired by Keurig Dr. Pepper as a quality specialist. He got engaged in August of 2020 and will be getting married in the fall of 2022. Chris looks forward to growing in his current role as well as in his personal life.
Sarahi Villa Arreguin ’20, Liberal Studies
Mississippi State University ’22 (anticipated), Psychology
Sarahi is working on her degree in psychology at Mississippi State University with an anticipated graduation in 2022.
Valerie Schoolcraft ’20, Media Studies and Graphic Design
Since graduating from CCV, Valerie has used her degree to co-create and promote three major annual community events and founded a magazine for Randolph which is utilized by the town’s Economic Development Council. She has since handed over the reins of the magazine to help develop new community projects.
Ivy Crowe ’20, Early Childhood Education
Northern Vermont University ’22 (anticipated), Early Childhood Education
Ivy is working toward a B.A. in Early Childhood Education at Northern Vermont University. She will graduate at the end of spring semester 2022.
