UVM Health Network and CCV Launch New Apprentice Program to Grow Pharmacy Workforce and Meet Patient Needs

The University of Vermont Health Network and the Community College of Vermont (CCV) are collaborating to offer a new Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Program to create rewarding local careers in health care that will also help meet the community’s pharmacy needs.

CCV Scholarship Carries On a Legacy of Learning

This story is written in memory of Jennifer Frey ‘97, who passed away in November 2001. Her parents, Lois and Bob Frey, established the Jennifer Frey Memorial Scholarship in 2002. Over the years, the scholarship has helped 45 CCV students continue their education.

Growing up, Quinn O’Reilly and his older brother didn’t get along. But in the months before his brother left home for Marine Corps boot camp, they grew closer. When Quinn flew to Parris Island, South Carolina to watch boot camp graduation, he was inspired to follow in his brother’s footsteps.

On November 8, National First-Generation College Celebration Day recognizes first-generation students across the country. Today, CCV is proud to celebrate all of our first-generation students.

Taking on the Child Care Challenge, One Scholarship at a Time

Vickie Gratton used the Early Childhood Education Portfolio Scholarship to take Assessment of Prior Learning (APL), and came away from the one-semester course with an impressive 43 credits.
